TWD Japan Corporation was established on 4 January 2022 as the Japanese entity, of which outline is as follows;

  • Business purpose

    TWD Japan provides ONE STOP CONTRACT for design, fabrication (including installation if necessary), and maintenance of special large jigs (Pile Grippers, Upending Hinges, Lifting Tools, various types of Grillages, Template for Jacket pile, etc.) for installation of offshore wind turbines and other related facilities in Japan. TWD Japan will request TWD BV Holland to design the equipment.

  • Background of the company establishment

    Trio Marine Tech, the Japanese agent for TWD BV, Holland, had been receiving strong requests from customers for a ONE STOP CONTRACT that covered not only equipment design but also supply and maintenance. With this background, we established a joint venture with Kyokuto Boeki Kaisha Ltd., an technical trading company with extensive knowledge and experience in offshore and offshore wind turbine equipment, to establish a business scheme that covers supply and maintenance of the equipment.

  • About company name

    TWD means "Temporary Works Design”. In many cases, existing general-purpose equipment cannot be used for installation work in offshore projects such as offshore wind power projects and oil exploration. In such cases, a specific custom design to the project is required. While there are many engineering companies that design permanent structures and general-purpose equipment, TWD BV Holland is a very rare and unique company in the world that does the custom and project-specific design.

  • Relationship with TWD BV Holland

    TWD Japan has concluded a Collaboration Agreement with TWD BV Holland. Under this agreement, TWD Japan and TWD Holland have an exclusive relationship each other. TWD Japan will not order the engineering and designs to anyone other than TWD BV Holland for offshore wind turbine-related projects in Japan. TWD BV Holland will not provide designs in Japan to anyone other than TWD Japan.
